    At Waggy tails charity shop

Been in working in the Charity shop to-day, oh dear what a quiet day, the weather wasn't all that bad, but we were very quiet, several people came in with goods for us to sell, so most of the time was taken up with sorting out, there's some rubbish but we do get some jolly good stuff,  A gent came in to-day with various bits and pieces, among them was a chocolate box tin, I jokingly asked if that was our Christmas, a nice big tin of allsorts chocs, he laughed and invited us to have a look inside, Sue and I looked at each other, and tentively sidled up to the tin, he opened it and it was FULL of money, coppers admittedly, but full to the brim, wow, what a lovely donation, it must have taken a long time to collect the amount,  We didn't have time to count it out, we couldn't even lift it, the tin had to be put on a towel and dragged out to the back shop, Lovely man, that will keep a dog or three in food for a while, oh, and his wife also donated a dozen tins of dog food. There are some really kind folk, just a shame we don't get as many customers to sell the goods to, we are bursting at the seams, We volunteers always buy something   most weeks, I've never had a job before where I come away poorer than when I went in.LOL, but we don't mind it's all for a good cause.

Animals can definately bring out the best in people at times. Our local Morrisons supermarket has a collection point for people to donate dog food for use by local charities. Great idea and it's always brim full. Think people buy extra when they go shopping and drop it in before they leave. Good way to help the local canine community in need!
